English relationship.
If you born in Chile
you are not surrounded by other country lenguages.
I grow up in the South of Chile, i learned a
lot of English at school since i was 6 years old, in songs, on books, at the university, on Tumblr… so I
reached up a good level listening, speaking and reading… i can even watch movies using
english subtitles.
Not big deal.😎
However , this
sumer i was dating a guy from Canada, who did not speak ANY Spanish.
"It’s hard for me
express the complexity of my thoughts in English”- I said to him again and again when i got frustated trying to mentally translate a
sentence or and idea.😡
We dated for 3
weeks… and it’s over (if you wondering), but even before he appears in my life i have
never experiment the need of comunicate
24/7 using what i’ve supposed to learn about English.
By the time i work on a cafe and when i'm cashier i have to speak in English A LOT, but now i don't feel angry or ashammed of my pronunciation, i just speak.
